Stephanie Leonardi -- affectionately known as “Leo”— born and raised in Akron (North Hill) where she grew up and lived until moving to South Akron in June 2014. Leo has spent the last 10 years getting to know--and becoming known within--the Summit Lake neighborhood where she resides. She has a BA and MA in Art Education and 10 years of classroom teaching experience and over 15 years of coaching experience. She resigned from the classroom in 2014, and has been heavily involved with the Summit Lake neighborhood since.

She has over a dozen murals throughout Akron, and many other artworks around the city. Stephanie facilitates visual art based programs/classes, community events, block parties and several other creative community based projects and for the last 7 years under the proud name of Summit Lake Build Corps she recruits projects, lead builders, volunteers  and youth from the neighborhood to come together with a purpose. There is not a life skill left out of the process as they work on projects in the community and at their workshop space in the neighborhood. The deeper relational work that comes from living into these roles has led her to more intentional work around individuals story and their own formation on a deeper level.
